The world needed a media group that did more than simply produce editorial content.
Fuelled by this passion, Gilbert Media Group was born in 2000.
After years working for numerous international publishing houses, our founder, Gil, decided that he wanted a media group that did more than simply produce editorial content.
Built on the philosophy of creativity and fun, GMG’s early publications laid the foundations for the success we enjoy today. Motocross Racer, Hektic magazine and Freerider, all went beyond the conventions of typical editorial publications, with their organic blend of energy and innovation connecting with readers in an unprecedented way.
From these humble beginnings, GMG continued to flourish. In 2009, out of a cramped office space in Sutherland Shire, Rugby League Player Magazine was born. A magazine that truly embodied the principals GMG was built on, combining cutting edge journalism with innovative design.
With racing in our blood, we created a new masthead, ‘V8 Action Illustrated’ – an outstanding motorsport magazine that combined our passion for motorsport with our expertise in editorial publication.
The dynamic nature of contemporary media led to our journey into digital media in 2015. Coupled with the development of world-class photography, creative content production from qualified journalists and an expansion into social media management.
We stand as a premier media company, one that creates original and engaging content that influences readers and brands alike. We have expanded our production from editorial content to unique visual storytelling, with high quality content across print, digital, social and video platforms.
Always looking to the future, we pioneer editorial innovation in our 21st century world. However, we have never lost sight of where we have come from. These humble beginnings have enabled us to connect to clients and customers in ways that other media groups cannot.
